Joseph Babrowicz, MD

Joseph C. Babrowicz, Jr, MD, is a vascular surgeon, who specializes in endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, and lower extremity revascularization/amputation prevention. He is also an assistant professor of surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

Dr. Babrowicz earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at The Washington Hospital Center, a fellowship in trauma & critical care at The Washington Hospital Center and a fellowship in vascular surgery at NYU/North Shore University Hospital. He is board-certified in Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Babrowicz comes to The GW Medical Faculty Associates from Georgetown University Hospital. He remains Director of Vascular Surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital.

He has authored publications focused chiefly on renal and carotid artery stenting, and made numerous presentations emphasizing endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms.
