Rodeen Rahbar, MD

Rodeen Rahbar, MD, is a vascular surgeon with The GW Medical Faculty Associates and an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

Dr. Rahbar is board-certified in Surgery and Vascular Surgery.  His areas of interest include Peripheral Vascular Disease, aneurysm disease, and venous disease.

Dr. Rahbar received a bachelor of arts in Near Eastern Literature at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his medical degree from Marshall University. He completed his residency and fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA with a concomitant research honorarium in vascular biology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

In addition to traditional open surgery, Dr. Rahbar is adept at the latest minimally invasive arterial techniques including the endovascular treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and general Peripheral Vascular Disease. Moreover, he has extensive experience in the minimally invasive treatment of venous disease using RF/laser ablation and foam sclerotherapy techniques.
